Microsoft finalized Windows XP Beta 2 on Friday, declaring build 2462a as the release. The company then posted Beta 2 for download by beta testers Sunday at noon PST, while the Microsoft Developer Network (MSDN) will ship Beta 2 on Monday. Beta 2 will be the final beta release for Windows XP, which is largely considered "feature complete" at this point. Moving forward, the company will focus on fit and finish issues, bug fixes, and other small improvements as it moves to release Windows XP in time for holiday sales.
