As part of the sweeping changes being ushered in by CEO Satya Nadella, Microsoft is to merge five of its big global tech events, including TechEd, into one major event the week of 4 May 2015 in Chicago.

The change only affects events scheduled in calendar year 2015. This year, TechEd Europe in Barcelona on 28-31 October will proceed as planned.Microsoft to merge five events into one mega enterprise event
According to Microsoft, standalone events around products such as SharePoint, Lync, Exchange, Project and the TechEd event will now take place as part of an “inaugural unified Microsoft commercial technology event”.
