Fuzilla posted a story that Microsoft has launched an Atom-based 'Sharks Cove' machine it hopes will attract developers with an interest in tablets

At $299, Sharks Cove is too expensive to be of interest to those who might have bought a Raspberry Pi price range. However, it does run Windows and it runs a quad-core Atom Z3735G which can manage 1.83 GHz with the wind behind it. It has a GB RAM, 16 GB of Flash storage, and a bunch of interfaces.

According to the Shark’s Cove site, the project's target environments are “any Windows or Android based system which uses the ATOM processor. Interfaces include GPIO, I2C, I2S, UART, SDIO, USB, and MIPI for display and camera.”
