Fuzilla posted a story that Microsoft has launched an Atom-based 'Sharks Cove' machine it hopes will attract developers with an interest in tablets

At $299, Sharks Cove is too expensive to be of interest to those who might have bought a Raspberry Pi price range. However, it does run Windows and it runs a quad-core Atom Z3735G which can manage 1.83 GHz with the wind behind it. It has a GB RAM, 16 GB of Flash storage, and a bunch of interfaces.

According to the Shark’s Cove site, the project's target environments are β€œany Windows or Android based system which uses the ATOM processor. Interfaces include GPIO, I2C, I2S, UART, SDIO, USB, and MIPI for display and camera.”
