From DailyTech:
Microsoft Corp. (MSFT), Redox Power Systems LLC, and the University of Maryland have been awarded a $5M USD government grant to test fuel cell technology in Microsoft's data centers. The grant comes courtesy of the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Advanced Research Projects Agency – Energy (ARPA-E) group. The grant is from ARPA-E's Reliable Electricity Based on Electrochemical Systems (REBELS) program, which is looking to fund novel on-site power generation technologies.
