If you had to guess the location of the second-largest LAN party in the United States chances are you'd put it somewhere in California. Nevada, I suppose, might be on the list, or possibly Texas, or maybe some heavily populated place like New York City. If you wanted a Midwestern city Chicago would probably be your best bet. The chance that you'd guess Louisville, Kentucky is rather small, but that's precisely where the Million Man LAN (second only to QuakeCon) is held every year. This year MML seated over a thousand people compared to around seven hundred in 2002 and was sponsored by a variety of companies including ABIT, AMD, ASUS, and ATI, while NVIDIA, Hitachi, Ideazon (manufacturers of the Z-board) and DFI all had a presence (and presentation) at the event as well. On the media side of things Tom's Hardware worked closely with MML and the various sponsors to arrange the program and provide coverage. It was, in short, a large event with a very good crowd.
