APH Networks: Antec P20C Review

It is no surprise that everyone is into the RGB craze and honestly, I am not too sure where I sit on this debate. The first computer I ever built did not even have a window on the side, so lighting was not a big deal to me. Most of my peripherals do have lighting, but I usually end up using it more for its utility with a plain white light to illuminate the keys and my mouse. In fact, the only reason I have any lighting on my motherboard or other internal components is because these are the default settings and I was too lazy to turn them off. I think there is something nice about a build with no lighting. It may not show off anything in particular, but it is a simple and clean look that will only be illuminated by exterior lighting sources, whether it is daylight or your own room. I do use lighting in my builds, although it is often because I have components that have them built in. On first start up, I think these LED lights inside my built definitely looks nice. However, after a while, this illumination sort of blends into the background and I do not really notice it. I do not even think it matters if there is a pattern or a set of effects, as I just get used to them. On the other hand, it is clear that RGB lighting is still a big selling point for most computer cases. There is nothing wrong with including it as it gives the option for lighting without forcing it on people. Today's review unit of the Antec P20C seemingly reverses this trend. Notably missing any mention of RGB or lighting in its marketing material, the P20C calls back to the basics for a computer enclosure with cooling capabilities and component flexibility being its primary focus. However, does it deliver on these claims and is it still a solid choice for a computer chassis? Read on to find out!
