AOC AGON AG271QX Adaptive-Sync Gaming Monitor Review

The market for monitors specifically aimed at gaming seems to be thriving. The AG271QX is the first one we have seen from AOC’s new AGON range, specifically designed for the gamer. It’s a 27in unit with plenty of bells and whistles to attract the intended user.

Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200MHz 32GB DDR4 Review

Right out of the box, this set of modules delivered excellent performance across each of the tests I ran. From synthetic to real world and finally in the gaming test, these modules delivered better performance overall than even the Dominator platinum modules I just looked at. The tighter primary timings and SPD tuning really brings out the performance potential of this Vengeance LPX 3200MHz 32GB set of modules. While tuned for 100 series Intel chipset boards, this kit performed quite well on the X99 refresh platform with the Intel Core i7 6950X. Due to the aggressive tuning of the modules, I was not able to really pull much more clock speed out of this kit without sacrificing some of the performance delivered by Corsair's engineers. Kind of disappointing from an overclocking perspective, but what I could get delivered improvement in the overall results.

In-Win 303 PC Chassis Review

We review the new In-Win 303 PC Chassis, a product series that is designed with that more compact form factor in mind, yet with nice aesthetics and yes, it has been fitted with tempered glass. And that does make this chassis look very special. Wanna have a peek? As you are going to notice, this chassis is compact in size, light-weight yet intriguing in its looks thanks to the aforementioned tempered glass, really that glass is 90% of the DNA that circulated through In Win designs as of the past year or so.

This chassis can house mini-ITX, micro ATX or ATX motherboards and offer plenty of space to so your "thang". You can mount two SSDs at the frontside and two HDDs at the rear in tray located at the motherboard side of the chassis. At the front you will spot USB 3.0 connectors in addition to USB 3.0 (1x), USB 2.0 (2x) and 3.5 mm HD audio jacks. The 303 comes pre-fitted with a frontside lit logo to match modern build aesthetics. Extensive air and water cooling options are included, with support for even a 360mm radiator up to 60 mm thick in the front, and a 120 mm radiator at the rear. It's also equipped with a removable fan bracket in the front and has dust filters on all in-take fans which allows for easy building and maintenance.

MSI GS43VR Phantom Pro Review: A Solid, Reasonably Compact Gaming Laptop

The MSI GS43VR 6RE Phantom Pro is a compact a 14-inch gaming laptop powered by a GeForce GTX 1060 GPU. This is Nvidia’s latest upper mid-range discrete graphics chip that succeeds and should significantly outperform the aging GTX 970M, narrowly beating the GTX 980M too at a lower power cost and with a less beefy cooling solution.

RX 480 Crossfire

A few weeks ago before going on vacation I took a look at the Sapphire RX 480 8GB Nitro and was impressed with its performance. Well as these things normally go, with that being the second RX 480 to come into the office, I did spend some time with both the Sapphire and our original reference RX 480 on the test bench to test out Crossfire performance. Sadly, I hadn’t had a chance to take a look at the numbers until today, though. So today let’s see how the RX 480’s perform in Crossfire for those wondering if picking up a second RX 480 in the future will be worth in.

Xtorm AL450 Power Bank Essential 12.000mAh Review

Carrying a portable power bank with you at all times is never a bad idea and i speak from experience since such devices have kept my smartphones and tablets going when there was no electrical socket in sight (hard to come across one at the beach and/or on the mountain). Unfortunately either due to high cost or available technology we've yet to see credit card sized power banks with plenty of available battery capacity (850mAh models are good for an emergency but not nearly enough for anything more) but there are many compact models in the market today which can provide your smartphone and/or tablet with several extra hours of life and can be carried around either in your backpack, purse or even your pocket. The AL450 model is the latest compact power bank from our friends over at Xtorm and we've been carrying it around with us charging our smartphones and tablets for almost three weeks now.

Xtorm is part of the Dutch company A-solar bv and was founded in 2008 with the idea that today more and more mobile devices come to the market, which requires a lot of power. To contribute to the environment we have searched for durable applications to provide a solution to this problem. Meanwhile we are the manufacturer in the field of innovative and practical solar and power solutions for everyday use. We bring a complete range of affordable and user-friendly consumer products on the market that simply charged from solar power and USB. The products with the brand Xtorm have a contemporary character and are of high quality.

Aside it's compact size and 12.000mAh rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack the AL450 has three extra selling points an USB-C type connector which can be used to charge (fully at that) a 12 inch Apple MacBook giving it 4 additional hours of battery time, external aluminum plate and qualcomm’s quick-charge 2.0 technology (automatically detects and delivers faster charging in devices featuring compatible Qualcomm Snapdragon processors). Secondary features include a 3A input charging port which can fully charge the AL450 in just under 4 hours (3A USB charger is of course required to achieve that) and two USB charging ports one featuring 5V/1A output (suitable for "generic" smartphones and small portable devices like earsets) and another with 5V/3A - 12V/1.25A output (mainly for use with large devices like tablets and the previously mentioned MacBook). So time for us to check and see whether or not the AL450 is the power bank to carry with you.
