Overclocked Cafe has posted a Neng Tyi Nexus Notebook Cooler review



We all know how hot the bottom of a notebook computer gets. Regular readers know that I've reviewed a couple of active cooling solutions for mobile computers in the past. Several active cooling solutions exist for laptops, but they all share one big disadvantage; they need electricity. Depending on the design, one is either faced with having to plug the cooler into an outlet (not very conducive to portable use), or into the laptop itself (thus using some precious battery life). Enter the Nexus, the first fully passive cooling solution that I've seen that actually seems to work. Using heat pipe technology, the Nexus cooler draws heat away from the laptop quite efficiently. At least, that is the theory. Let's see how well it actually does the job.
