Thanks to Javier for informing me that AVerMedia has released new Windows 2000 drivers:

AVerMedia just released (on Saturday) new drivers for AVerTV Capture98
and TVPhone98 (there are different drivers for the Capture and the
Phone models now).

The new set of drivers comes with a much nicer TV software, that even
lets you capture in real time with very good quality, although you
cannot use any compression codec.
