TRENDnet has announced new PoE++ switches that utilize GaN (gallium-nitride) power technology. This advanced technology provides greater efficiency, a lower carbon footprint, and superior performance.





TRENDnet has incorporated GaN technology into its initial two network switches: the 6-Port 2.5G GaN Power PoE++ Switch with 10G SFP+ Ports (TPE-BG5062) and the 9-Port 2.5G GaN Power PoE++ Switch with 10G SFP+ Port (TPE-BG5091). These switches are equipped with high-efficiency GaN internal power supplies, providing up to 95 watts of PoE power per port. This capability makes them suitable for powering demanding devices, including advanced security cameras, high-power access points, digital signage, and access controls.
