Microsofts new chief executive Satya Nadella is set for a San Francisco public debut of sorts this week, with a March 27 event to paint the vendors mobile first, cloud-first landscape and unwrap its new Office for iPad app, followed by an April 2 possible appearance at the Build 2014 developers' conference.

From The VAR Guy:
The vendor reportedly is prepping Nadella’s stage with an announcement March 25 of a rebranding of its Windows Azure cloud platform to “Microsoft Azure,” in a move to distinguish its cloud strategy as wider than Windows, according to a ZDNet report.

At the Office for iPad rollout, Nadella is expected to expand on Microsoft’s mobile-first, cloud-first strategy to take former chief Steve Ballmer’s “devices and services” company tagline in a more precise direction as a cross-platform software and services provider. At the Build conference, Microsoft is expected to show off Windows Phone 8.1, the imminent Windows 8.1 update and perhaps mention Windows 9 in one form or another.
