"Microsoft Office 11 won't hit the retail shelves until mid-2003, and by that time it probably won't even be named Office 11. In the meantime, the company has released a preliminary version to outside testers. We took the suite for a trial run and found that once again, the newest Office will be an optional-not an obligatory-upgrade.
