While Windows 10 May 2020 Update itself broke OneDrive’s Files On-demand feature, the OneDrive app is actually reportedly blocking Windows 10 version 2004 from being installed on certain devices. Microsoft recently acknowledged OneDrive files On-demand is broken for some “older devices or devices with certain old apps installed that use legacy file system filter drivers ” on Windows 10 2004.
