The Smidge.Com Gaming Network has posted a Oni review

In Oni, you play Konoko, a Technological Crimes Task Force agent fresh out of the training and cast into a world where there is only one world government, and your every move is watched (1984, anyone?). During the first quarter of the game, Oni seems to have nothing more than the vanilla "kill the baddies, get a cookie" story that we’ve all played too many times. However, things get interesting with a plot twist reminiscent of Deus Ex. The story line shifts from crime fighting to an investigation into your mysterious past. While the remainder story line is fairly interesting, it’s a shame that it wasn’t a little less predictable. The redeeming quality is that there are a few unique twists that you discover as the story progresses.
