OnStream has posted a Windows 2000 FAQ:

Will OnStream drives work with Microsoft Windows 2000 when it is released?
Windows 2000 will incorporate a number of major changes to the driver layers that will effect OnStream drives and most backup software applications. OnStream is working with its software partners to develop and test these updates as quickly as possible. Specific support for Windows 2000 depends on the particular drive and software combination.

OnStream´s ADR50 internal and external drives will have support with specific software applications as these vendors release their Windows 2000 compatible products. In addition, OnStream is creating a driver (ADR2K) to support specific software applications. These include Windows 2000´s native backup application (Microsoft Backup 5.0) and UltraBac.com´s UltraBac. This driver should be available early April 2000.

For ECHO30 internal and external SCSI drives as well as the SC50 internal drive, OnStream is developing a driver (SC2K) to support a number of backup applications. These will include Windows 2000´s native backup application (Microsoft Backup 5.0), Vertitas´ Backup Exec for Windows NT/2000 Server Edition and UltraBac.com´s UltraBac. This driver should also be available late April 2000. As with the current driver for WindowsNT, the ECHO30 IDE drives will not be supported.

For users of OnStream Echo Software, a Windows 2000 Professional compliant version that will support all OnStream drives is currently being tested internally. A BETA version will be available in mid March and general release is planned for Q2. Continuing OnStream´s commitment and support to our customers, this software upgrade will be available as a free download and include free technical support. This version of ECHO will not run on Windows 2000 Server, Advanced Server and Datacenter.
