Both passed through the validation process and are now placed on AMD’s list of preferred mainboards. After introducing the Opteron on the following pages tests will show its scores in a direct performance comparison with an Intel Xeon 2.8 GHz (socket 604) and an AMD AthlonMP 2800+.
