Creative MUVO 2C Review

Creative are no stranger to packing in big sound in small spaces, and this is exactly what Creative are promising with the MUVO 2C. Weighing just 159g, and measures 67.0 x 93.0 x 38.0 mm, you could be forgiven for underestimating what has been packed into this portable Bluetooth speaker.

Dell UltraSharp U2718Q Review

InfinityEdge and 4K HDR for £725. Choosing a quality monitor can be hard work if you haven't done your research. There are numerous acronyms and buzzwords to get to grips with, including 4K, 5K, UHD, FreeSync and G-Sync, to name but a few, and you can now add HDR to the list.

What is HDR? It stands for High Dynamic Range, and in a nutshell it signals a greater range of luminance, improved colour depth and a wider gamut. Said advantages aren't as easy to absorb as, say, a higher resolution or faster response time, so think of it this way: an HDR image is intended to provide brighter whites, deeper blacks and more detail at both ends of the spectrum, with colours that are more life-like than ever before.

Game Max Moonstone (Tempered Glass w/ RGB Fans) Case Review

While we previously knew Game Max as a budget case manufacturer, the company is definitely trying to diversify its product stack and produce some cases that are a bit more luxurious than what we might have expected. The Game Max Moonstone, for instance, costs £109.99 and features no less than three tempered glass panels, as well as four pre-installed RGB fans. Can it to do enough to challenge similarly priced mid-towers from more established brands?

HyperX Alloy Elite Review

The model in for testing today isn’t exactly a direct evolution of the Alloy FPS, though it does carry over a similar style. We’ve now got dedicated media controls, along with a volume-roller, a novel new light-strip along the top of the keyboard, handy buttons for lighting and gaming controls and a wrist rest for added comfort. On paper, the additions certainly sound good, and at only £20 more than the Alloy FPS, it seems to represent good value.

Project Build Iris – Part 2

So last week I went into detail on the case, power supply, and the fans I went with in Iris. Those are cool, but it’s the components inside that determine how fast the computer is going to be. So today I’m going to go over the “go fast” goodies so to speak. I will talk about the reasoning on the motherboard and CPU and what else is going with it. Considering that my wife ends up playing more games than I do, making sure this build was extremely fast was important. I don’t need her getting angry at me when her games don’t work!
