Unlike FDISK, which destroys everything in its path, PartitionMagic has the ability to modify partitions non-destructively, meaning that all information is retained in a partition (unless of course you specifically delete the partition, but that´s a whole different ballgame). Currently in its sixth major release, PartitionMagic has long been a part of my software library. As you will see later, this package can do things with partitions so unimaginable, it seems like magic (pun intended).
