Encryption patch for Microsoft Web Servers and clients
Microsoft recently released an updated schannel.dll that corrects problems that arise when Microsoft clients contact non-Microsoft Web servers. The patch also corrects problems that arise from using Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) 4.0 with non-Microsoft clients. Microsoft released a patch to correct a vulnerability within Microsoft Windows Media Services. Microsoft Security Bulletin (MS00-013) says the vulnerability exists within the Windows Media Unicast Service. Packets sent in a particular sequence cause the service to crash.
