While that phrase may conjure visions of a tennis match, what we are actually talking about today is the real life race of one-upmanship that has been taking place in the CPU world for years. Though, much like a tennis match, there are series of points made, counterpoints and a few fouls along the way. If we take a quick look back to when the race began, and touch on some of the highlights, it will help bring things into perspective.
