Bona Fide Reviews checked out the Plextor PX-716UF 16x4x8 DVD +/- RW DL Writer
Back in November of last year we reviewed Plextor's superb PX-712UF External 12x4x16 DVD burner. Today we have a chance to look it's big brother - the PX-716UF. The 716 not only has a faster burn rate (16x) than the 712 (12x), but it also comes with 4x Dual Layer capabilities. The logo above advertises 6x DL speed because of the recent firmware upgrade made available on Plextor's website here. Like the 712, the 716 is an IEEE 1394 and Hi-Speed USB (USB2.0) external drive with face plates available in 4 different colors: black, gray, blue, and red.Read more
