Arctic Freezer 34 eSports Duo CPU Cooler Review

As a brand. Arctic is certainly well known in the PC building community. If not for their components, then at least for their thermal paste. Having recently been voted one of the top 100 innovative design companies, we have reviewed many of their coolers in the past and have never failed to be impressed with their designs and performance.

With the release of their brand new Freezer series, however, we had the opportunity to check out their latest Freezer 34 eSports Duo. A twin-fan CPU air cooler promising a very high level of performance for what is, essentially, a low-cost budget solution. I daresay that Arctic will not mind me saying this either as they themselves push this product heavily as a strong and viable upgrade to standard stock coolers.

With a low price though, often you can find that a cooler might not give you the required punch your system requires. So, just how good is the Freezer 34 eSports Duo? – Let’s find out.

EVGA SuperNOVA 650 GM Modular SFX Power Supply Review

During the past year we have seen a lot of interest in the SFX small form-factor power supply market with more and more big-name power supply manufacturers adding new products on a regular basis. EVGA’s SuperNOVA GM Series includes three SFX form-factor power supplies: 450 GM (450W), 550 GM (550W) and 650 GM (650W). We will be taking a detailed look at the SuperNOVA 650 GM in this review.

Far Cry New Dawn Review

Let’s get one thing straight right away: Far Cry New Dawn is barely a post-apocalyptic game. You might be forgiven to think so given that the game directly picks up after the ending of Far Cry 5, where Hope County (and indeed the whole world, as the developers at Ubisoft have since revealed that 88% of the planet’s population has been wiped out in the aftermath) got ravaged by nuclear bombs.

Far Cry New Dawn is set only seventeen years after that critical event, which means that the environment should absolutely still reflect this in some way. Yet, it doesn’t at all. There are no mutated plants, no mutated animals, no pockets of radiation still left anywhere in sight with the notable exception of the map’s very boundaries. Indeed, funnily enough, the so-called radiation zone featuring the familiar infertile soil and dead trees stands only a few meters away from the normal terrain, which is quite the jarring sight. As soon as you approach it, you’re warned by the game to turn back.

Plugable USBC-NVME Tool-Less NVMe SSD Enclosure Capsule Review

Storage bridges are an important part of computing systems. Currently popular external bridges allow storage drives (hard drives or SSDs) to talk to computing systems over USB or Thunderbolt 3. While Thunderbolt 3 is a premium Intel-only interface for now, USB 3.1 Gen 2 has emerged as a credible mass-market high-performance alternative. We recently reviewed the MyDigitalSSD M2X M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure that allows a PCIe NVMe SSD to be accessed over USB. Today, we will be looking at another product having the same functionality - the Plugable USBC-NVME. The key difference lies in the industrial design of the casing, allowing the M.2 SSD to be installed without the need for any tools. Its thermal characteristics are different. Synology DS1019+ Review

Synology this week is launching the DS1019+, a 5-bay counterpart to last years 4-bay DS918+. Like most of the companys "Plus" series devices, it is aimed at higher-end home users and small businesses with a price (without drives) of $649.99.

Synology loaned us a review unit of the DS1019+ prior to launch, and after adding it to our growing shelf of network storage devices, we spent some time seeing how this new model compares to its predecessors and counterparts.
Specifications & Design
The design of the DS1019+ is virtually identical to that of the DS918+, with the same style of drive bays, same case material and color, same basic layout of ports and status lights, and even an almost identical list of technical specs. The biggest difference between the two by far is simply the addition of a fifth drive bay on the DS1019+. So, if you liked the look and feel of the DS918+, you should feel the same way about the DS1019+.
