Beyond3D has got a news post looking at the contents on the soon to be released “ShaderX2” 3D programming book.
Ordinarily this may not be hugely interesting, but the list of authors carries 3 PowerVR employees, who all happen to be writing articles on DirectX’s Pixel and Vertex Shader 3.0 model (current DX9 boards such as Radeon 9500 and above, and GeForce FX use PS/VS3.0) – a good indication, if there ever was one, that PowerVR series 5, scheduled for the end of the year presently, may have this functionality.Read more
