TheTechLounge has posted a coverage from the QuakeCon 2005

QuakeCon officially opened to the public at 8:00 am Thursday morning, and we were there along with hundreds of gamers when the doors opened. Fortunately for us, we didn’t have to wait in the BYOC line and were able to enter the convention center before the crowd hit. The sponsor exhibits weren’t scheduled to open until two hours later, so we took our time browsing through the isles, checking out some of the more interesting, and well… special… rigs. Since we were some of the first into the center, we were able to play around at NVIDIA’s booth before it opened, and before they shoed us away. During this time we were able to play some interesting new games and take some videos without the interruption of the crowds – although there was some mic-checking going on, as you’ll hear in the videos later on.
