Its been a while since we have taken a look at any power supplies from Antec, so when a new Earthwatts Gold Pro power supply darkened our doorstep a few weeks ago our interest was piqued. It is semi modular, 80 Plus Gold Certified and ships with a 7 year warranty. But is it worth your time and more importantly your money?

ASRock Fatal1ty X299 Pro Gaming i9 XE Motherboard Review

Today we have one of ASRock's second wave X299 motherboards, with improvements mainly made to the power delivery system. When most X299 motherboards were introduced, most of them had one issue; they couldn't easily handle an overclocked Intel HCC CPU. Intel's High Core Count (HCC) CPUs have more than 10 CPU cores, and they can pull over 500W from the motherboard's VRM when overclocked to 4.4GHz or higher.

While many people can overclock their CPUs to 4.4GHz easily, they typically are throttling due to internal protection mechanisms built into the VRM. So, like many vendors, ASRock went back to the drawing board, and they have now released much stronger motherboards designed solely to handle an overclocked Intel HCC CPU.

Gigabyte Z370 Aorus Ultra Gaming Review

We liked the Z370 Aorus Gaming 7 (https://www.kitguru.net/components/leo-waldock/z370-aorus-gaming-7-from-gigabyte-high-end-intel-8th-gen-motherboard) enough to give it our ‘Must Have’ award, but there is no denying it is fairly expensive at £245. Move down the Gigabyte Aorus product stack past the Z370 Aorus Gaming 5 and you will come to the Z370 Aorus Ultra Gaming that is priced at a very reasonable £158, but despite that hefty saving it appears to offer the vast majority of the features you find in the Gaming 7.

In essence you only get two M.2 slots and a single Gigabit Ethernet port but pretty much everything else is the same. Apart from the VRMs which are completely different and a good deal cheaper. You won’t be surprised to learn we discuss this aspect of the motherboard at length in our video.

HyperX Alloy FPS Pro Mechanical Keyboard Review

The HyperX Alloy FPS Pro is a tenkeyless cherry MX based mechanical keyboard. Typically, the word ‘Pro’ for keyboards from some manufacturers will get you multiple functions, dedicated switches for volume and macro & even a wrist rest. None of those whistles here! This is a tenkeyless design with no dedicated switches or macro keys or wrist rest. Its a compact design with a detachable USB cable function having some illumination and media controls in the standard layout. As a result, it is easy to carry, easy to maintain and easy to replace bad USB cable if and when the situation comes up.

The HyperX Alloy FPS Pro is in a very compact packaging with minimum necessities- just the keyboard and the braided cable. No additional keycaps and no keycap puller. This keyboard is with a two-year warranty.

Intels latest roadmap shows HEDT Cascade Lake-X coming in Q4 2018

It's official, Intel's new HEDT platform arrives in the fourth quarter of 2018. HEDT: Intel Cascade Lake-X The Skylake-X architecture, Intel's first HEDT series with 18-core consumer CPUs, will not be succeeded till Q4 2018. No detailed information has been revealed other than codename and launch schedule. The Cascade Lake-X architecture is allegedly based on 14nm+(+) fabrication node. It is considered a refresh of Skylake-X series on a refined node. MAINSTREAM: Coffee Lake-S RELOADED Meanwhile Coffee Lake-S series will receive new SKUs in Q1 2018 (production starts 5th week of 2018) and new 300-series motherboards (production start two weeks later).

NVIDIA Titan Xp Collectors Edition Star Wars Jedi Order Graphics Card Review

If you are looking for the most powerful desktop consumer graphics card for 2017 and entering the 2018 calendar year the folks over at NVIDIA have you covered with the Titan Xp. This $1,200 graphics card features the Pascal GP102 GPU with 3840 NVIDIA CUDA cores running at 1.6 GHz for a mind blowing 12 TFLOPs of brute compute performance. The Titan Xp is also loaded with 12 GB of GDDR5X memory running at 11.4 Gbps on a 384-bit memory bus that gives you 547.7 GB/s of memory bandwidth. This card came out in April 2017, but was recently ‘refreshed’ in November 2017 with the release of the Titan Xp Star Wars Collector’s Edition models. You get to choose a Titan Xp model that is themed for either the Jedi Order or Galactic Empire! The best part is that NVIDIA slashed the price on these models and you can pickup either the the Jedi Order or Galactic Empire versions for $1,138. Not a huge price break, but they look cooler than the original $1,200 Titan Xp that just happens to be sold out right now.
