Buying Guide: 10 best Chromebooks 2016: top Chromebooks reviewed

Chromebooks are budget-friendly laptops that are both quirky and smart, low-impact and capable.Running Google's Chrome OS operating system rather than, say, Windows 10, they focus on what computing has been all about since the late '90s, the internet and your web browser.Mostly with low-power chips and barely HD screens starting at 1,366 x 768 pixel density, most of these laptops are designed to last. Almost every Chromebook claims between 7 and 9 hours of battery life and comes within a few hours of that estimation, based on our benchmarks. If you're not sure of what you should look for when purchasing a Chromebook, we've developed a helpful cheat sheet for you.

Far Cry: Primal PC game analysis

Ubisoft has been attempting to boost its efforts on the PC over the last year or so, even going as far as to push PC versions of certain titles back to give developers extra time to ensure it is up to standard. This was the case with Far Cry: Primal, which launched on the PC this week. But how does the game run? Has Ubisoft managed to turn things around?

For A Few Dollars More Than The Raspberry Pi 3 You Can Have A Much Faster Board

Yesterday's Raspberry Pi 3 Benchmarks vs. Eight Other ARM Linux Boards was quite interesting while today I have a complementary data point: the Raspberry Pi 3 compared to the ODROID-C2. The ODROID-C2 costs just a few dollars more ($40 USD) while having a faster SoC and other advantages.

The ODROID-C2 is a 64-bit quad-core SBC powered by the Amlogic S905 with four Cortex-A53 cores at 2GHz. The ODROID-C2 has a Mali 450 GPU and 2GB of DDR3 SDRAM, Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI 2.0, and officially supports Ubuntu and Android. The ODROID-C2 will begin shipping this month for $40 USD.

Logitech G810 Orion Spectrum Keyboard Review

The keyboard market is saturated right now, with all kinds of switches, physical layouts, and lighting options available to fit nearly any user's needs. The latest innovation have been in custom switches and ever more elaborate RGB lighting. Enter the Logitech G810 Orion Spectrum, which brings the latest innovations to the Logitech line and looks to one-up the gamer-focused G910.

The G810, at $159, is facing some fierce competition from its rivals. The Corsair Strife RGB, which comes with a metal body, wrist rest, extra set of keycaps, and Cherry MX silent switches, is $10 less. Logitech knows it is asking a lot for the G810, so like some GPUs the keyboard comes with an included game. Customers get Tom Clancy's The Division, provided they pick it up before April 1. Logitech says the keyboard's lighting is integrated with the game, showing off the next level of game interaction that manufacturers have been pushing.

Mini-ITX Game PC - March 2016

The Mini-ITX Game PC is a desktop computer that is small enough to be portable, but has better performance than a gaming notebook. This edition, we built a system that will fit perfectly in your living room, next to your TV. You can game on it in Full HD resolution, but while watching a movie it'll be whisper quiet. At the same time, the graphics card offers support for HDMI 2.0, so you can even watch 4K content. However, we wouldn't recommend to game at 4K yet.

Please note: the PC Buyer’s Guide is compiled based on independent component tests performed by Hardware.Info. If no new, superior products are released that should replace one or more of the components, then the component(s) will remain the same as the previous month.

PAPAGO! GoSafe S30 Dashcam with Sony Exmor

For the last couple of years, it has felt as if we have been on the verge of a revolution. Everyone has a smartphone these days, capturing and sharing random moments through Instagram, Facebook and Periscope, but it's both illegal and impractical to capture those moments while behind the wheel. The dashcam can be both a source of safety and a source of potentially viral entertainment. And with the PAPAGO! GoSafe S30, the incremental evolution continues.

Raspberry Pi 3 Benchmarks vs. Eight Other ARM Linux Boards

On Friday my Raspberry Pi 3 arrived for benchmarking. For our first benchmarks of this Cortex-A53 64-bit ARM $35 development board is a comparison against eight other ARMv7 and ARMv8 development boards running their official Linux distributions while carrying out a range of benchmarks. Here are those raw performance results along with a performance-per-dollar comparison for additional insight into this low-cost ARM development board.

For those that were out of it this week, the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B is still a $35 board and it features a 1.2GHz 64-bit quad-core (Cortex-A53) ARMv8 processor, 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, Bluetooth Low-Energy (LE), 1GB of LPDDR2 RAM, and the same VideoCore IV graphics as the earlier Raspberry Pi. The Raspberry Pi 3 has the same form factor as the earlier Raspberry Pi 2 and Raspberry Pi 1 Model B+ boards. Other similarities with the older boards (aside from the Pi Zero) are four USB ports, 40 GPIO pins, HDMI, Ethernet (via USB still, sadly), micro-SD card slot, camera interface, display interface, and other connectivity.

Thermaltake Core V51 Computer Enclosure Reviewed

Do you remember when mesh computer enclosures first showed up? Flat mesh panels and grills seemed like an impressive feat. Some manufacturers designed some better than others. Given today's manufacturing processes, we expect design and quality to be top notch. Thermaltake been busy breaking away from square corners and busy plastic molds to create the Versa, Urban and Core series enclosures.

After being totally impressed by the Editor's Choice award winning Urban T81, it was hard to imagine something as awesome in a mid tower enclosure. But why not?
