2002 is shaping up to be a good year for first-person shooter fans. With Unreal Tournament 2 due out in June, not to mention the recently released Serious Sam: The Second Encounter and Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, it appears FPS games are still in good supply and high demand. Looking to get in on some of the action, Westwood is attempting to break into the first-person shooter scene with an offshoot of its real-time strategy franchise, Command and Conquer. Even though Renegade was scheduled for release less than 2 weeks after it made the multiplayer demo first available, Westwood decided to give gamers a peek at the on-line component of its latest product through Gamespy Arcade.Read more
