Microsoft backs major deal as proof OS is fit for business

Cruise firm Royal Caribbean Cruises has announced that it has purchased 40,000 Windows 8.1 tablets for staff on its latest liner, the Quantum of the Seas.

Royal Caribbean said providing the tablets would give staff access to a raft of key services when at sea, such as Skype to keep in contact with friends and family, Office 365 for emails and OneDrive for storage services.
