AOC AG352UCG 100Hz G-Sync Monitor Review

Arguably the most desirable gaming monitors of the moment are the range of 34-inch, 21:9 aspect ratio, 100Hz, IPS displays typified by the hugely popular Asus ROG PG348Q (https://www.kitguru.net/peripherals/monitors/orestis-bastounis/asus-rog-swift-pg348q-34-3440x1440-ips-g-sync-curved-100hz-review/) and Acer Predator X34A. And, at first glance, the AOC AG352UCG, appears to be yet another in that roster. However, this monitor has two crucial differences.

ASUS ROG Crosshair VI Hero Review

As far as overclocking on the Crosshair VI Hero goes, it gets my hardware to its maximums with very little fuss using just some basic settings in the BIOS. You can take the time to tune down voltages for reduced thermals, but it will get to the 4080MHz-4090MHz range with full stability. Cranking it up higher allows the R7 1800X to run upwards of 4140MHz with quite a bit more voltage, but at that point, we are playing for screenshots versus looking for true stability. At least with my processor. Will this board overclock? It most certainly will and then some depending on how you plan to use it (daily driver or benchmarking only).

EwinRacing Flash Series Ergonomic Office Chair Review

I have never reviewed a chair before, but I have sat in plenty of them, so I would say I am fairly qualified to share my opinion. The EwinRacing Flash Series chair is definitely very comfortable, and overall has a very high build quality. I also appreciate that it can accommodate such a range of user heights / weights, as I am quite often left with chairs maxed out and still wishing for a little more room! Not with this chair, as it can go so high that my feet are left dangling.

Geil EVO Spear DDR4 for Ryzen Review

Geil's EVO Spear sticks are a standard-height, high-performance memory series specifically tuned for AMD Ryzen CPUs. With excellent CPU heatsink compatibility thanks to their low height, these EVO Spear sticks are ready for whatever type of Ryzen system you might build, entry-level or high-end. And yes, they work on Intel too.

Gigabytes Aorus GTX 1070 Gaming Box external graphics card reviewed

The recent rise of Thunderbolt 3 ports and external graphics enclosures to go with them has cracked a door to an intoxicating vision of the future: a world where gamers carry thin-and-light notebooks without power-hungry discrete graphics chips inside to class or work. Once they're back at their desks, those same folks plug in a single cable from an external graphics enclosure and get all of the pixel-pushing power of a desktop graphics card. That's the dream, anyway. The reality of Thunderbolt 3 and external graphics is a lot more complex.

Patriot Viper V570 Blackout Edition Laser Mouse Review

If that were not obvious already, the introduction was a modified introduction of the poem, "A Visit from St. Nicholas" by Clement Clarke Moore. Instead of a visit from Saint Nicholas today, we actually have a visit from Patriot Memory through their Viper V570 Blackout Edition mouse. Today's unit was shipped to us via UPS and their Saver service. Thankfully, the parcel arrived to us in excellent condition with zero dents or bruises to be concerned with. This brown corrugated cardboard box came to us from Fremont, California, which is the home of Patriot Memory's offices in the United States. Inside, we have the single Viper V570 Blackout Edition wrapped in plastic and cushioned by several layers of foam and inflated plastic pouches.

Ryzen 5 2500U Review

Today we’re covering a hotly anticipated product in the laptop space: Ryzen Mobile. We've managed to get our hands on one of the only Ryzen Mobile laptops in the wild – the HP Envy x360 – to look at how AMD’s latest mobile silicon performs.

Of course, this isn’t the first time we’re seeing AMD APUs in laptops; even today you can buy a low-end notebook with a Stoney Ridge APU inside, complete with all the wonders of an Excavator-based CPU. It’s at the high end that AMD has been absent for generations, mostly because of their slow and inefficient CPU architecture, which allowed Intel to command the mobile throne for years.

WD My Book Duo 20TB Review

As higher and higher capacity drives are released into the market, we slowly see the latest trickle down into enclosures. The My Book lineup is no stranger to this process as in the past it has taken advantage of the entire WD product lineup. With this latest iteration of the My Book Duo, WD has moved this platform over to USB-C connectivity while increasing capacity with the use of their new 10TB WD Red drives. From the factory, the Duo is RAID 0 ready, but does support RAID 1 and includes a host of software including WD Backup and WD Security for hardware-based 256-bit encryption. Compatibility includes Windows 7+ out of the box while other operating systems will require a reformat. The MSRP of the 20TB My Book Duo is $799.99 with a three-year warranty.

X2 Empire Silver Computer Chassis Review

Have you heard of a manufacturer called x2? I hadn't and I was totally blown away when I took a look at their website. There is a vast array of products in their catalog – cases, cooling, peripherals and even power supplies – and some of them are utterly beautiful to behold. Today's review of the x2 Empire Silver PC case will be all about 'style meets functionality'… at least that's what I'm hoping for. First though, as always, we shall inspect the specifications as they are shown on the company's product page before taking a detailed look at the chassis itself.
