Fittingly for Women’s Day, AMD’s newest baby is now officially born today, even though these pro CPUs in the Ryzen Threadripper Pro 5000 lineup are of course not complete strangers. The CPUs with the code “Chagall”, which are now officially presented, are supposed to be able to clock up to 4.5 GHz. The matching base clock is of course much lower (e.g. 4.1 GHz for the 12-core and 2.7 GHz for the 64-core), so that the specified TDP of 280 watts can be met for all models.
