When it comes down to it, the Saitek gaming keyboard and command pad are nothing extraordinary and frankly I could live without the command pad entirely for the games that I play. But that’s not to say I don’t like them. The command pad will probably get unplugged and set aside somewhere, but the keyboard is rather cool. At $45 it’s much spendier than your run-of-the-mill beige keyboard, but this thing has some actual decent looks to it and the purty backlight matches my case and all its purty lights. Also, $45 is a lot cheaper than some of the alternatives out there like the EluminX or the Deck LED keyboard you might have seen on ThinkGeek or elsewhere.

If you’re looking for a new keyboard and want something with a little style to it, pick up the Saitek gaming keyboard. The command pad is one of those things that you will either love or hate, but the keyboard is great so long as you aren’t expecting something that will make it easy to read the keys in the dark.
