VR-Zone has posted the Samsung RDRAM Roadmap

Samsung at Rambus Developer Forum today has revealed a very interesting roadmap showing a 64-bit PC1200 RDRAM somewhere mid of next year before moving on to 64-bit PC1333 RDRAM in 2004. Rambus's Yellowstone technology operates at Octal Data Rates (ODR), transferring 8 bits of data per clock that enables 3.2GHz data rates with a 400MHz clock. Therefore, a 64-bit PC1200 RDRAM will provide 9.6GB/s of memory bandwidth while 64-bit PC1333 RDRAM will provide 10.7GB/s of memory bandwidth. Also revelaed in the roadmap, the 128-bit DDR-II 533 can provide up to 8.5GB/s of memory bandwidth which can be comparable to the 64-bit RDRAM.
