It would be hard to say Creative has been a popular company with the consumers. Their SoundBlaster Live! line had problems with Windows 2000, and lackluster drivers didn't improve Creative's image. Then the infamous debacle with Via's 686B southbridge, causing corruption, blue screens, and much swearing on the part of SB Live! owners, things were definitely not good for Creative. Many dissastified customers ditched their Live! for Turtle Beach's Santa Cruz or Philips Acoustic Edge, and it looked like the pioneer of PC audio was in deep trouble.Read more
