Seagate has typically marketed toward the well rounded features niche, trying to cover all of the ground. They have tried to offer an equal balance of durability, performance, and value. So far, they have done well. The durability, performance, and value offer has caught the eye of industrial system designers. The majority of those that I know choose Seagate for that reason.
