Network Access Protection (NAP) is a health policy creation, enforcement, and remediation technology that is included in Microsoft Windows Vista (now in beta testing) and Windows Server Code Name "Longhorn" (now in beta testing). With NAP, system administrators can enforce health requirements, which can include software requirements, security update requirements, required computer configurations, and other settings. This paper describes how to create a test lab for NAP with the virtual private network (VPN) enforcement method using the Beta 2 releases of Windows Vista and Windows Server Longhorn.
