Asus ROG GX800VH Watercooled Laptop Review

Move over Asus GX700 and MSI Titan, there’s a new gaming laptop at the top of the tree and its name is Asus ROG GX800VH. The model code suggests that GX800 is an upgrade of GX700, however that is wide of the mark. GX800 has a similar appearance to GX700 but the hardware is all new, starting with a pair of Nvidia GTX 1080 GPUs in SLI. Yes, two 1080s in a laptop, driving a 4K display for maximum gaming pleasure.

ASUS ROG Strix GL502 Gaming Notebook Review

ASUS has taken the GL502VT gaming notebook and made a number of key improvements despite the fact that it's only been out a few months. For starters the GeForce GTX-900 series graphics have been replaced by the newer GeForce GTX 10-series GPUs, you have an NVMe PCIe SSD instead of an M.2 SATA III SSD and the USB 3.1 Type C Gen 1 port has been updated to a Gen 2 USB 3.1 Type-C port. This means you have faster graphics, storage and USB interfaces in the latest GL5502VS gaming notebook!

ASUS X99 Deluxe II Review

With the X99 Deluxe II, ASUS has one of the most interesting boards for Intels latest Broadwell-E processors. A quick look around the PCB reveals there are two U.2 ports as well as an M.2 x4 SSD slot, improved lighting and the new Aura header to direclty connect LED strips to the motherboard. Chuwi Hi10 Pro mini review: An affordable Windows 10 2-in-1

Established in 2004, Chuwi is a Chinese OEM based in Shenzhen, with a pretty neat lineup of Windows tablets and 2-in-1s since a while. Very popular on online retailers in China, the company is now trying to gain ground in other markets. Chuwi is also a global partner for Intel and Microsoft, which inspires a little confidence in this relatively unknown brand.

From their diverse lineup of devices in different form factors, I ordered the Chuwi Hi10 Pro, a Windows 10 2-in-1 with detachable keyboard. At less than $250, it's an affordable laptop for casual users as well as a great tablet for just about anyone who's looking for a Windows tablet.

Gigabyte P57Xv6 Review

The first wave of GTX 10-series notebooks has been all about extremes. The more powerful ones configured with GTX 1080 GPUs are typically hefty beasts with sizable cases, while at the very opposite end of the spectrum is Razer's GTX 1060-powered Blade that almost feels like waving a MacBook Air above your head in comparison.Gigabyte's P57X v6 is one of the one of the physically larger Pascal offerings, but it's not overly bulky or heavy - and you won't even mind gaming with it on your lap for extended periods. Its 17.3-inch display means you could get away without using an external monitor for playing games or watching movies, so long as you're not bothered about a lack of real-state on the desktop.

IN WIN 303 Mid Tower Case Review

If you've been around PCs for as long as i have (or even longer) then you probably know that acrylic windows placed on side panels changed forever the design of towers and allowed consumers to "admire" part of the interior components without having to go through all the trouble of modding/customizing their cases. Of course compared to when i got my first tower which had a rather small window at the center of the side aluminum panel today there are models that feature side panels made entirely out of tempered glass thus allowing consumers to view everything inside. IN WIN is perhaps the only manufacturer to have focused so much in the design and manufacture of PC cases using tempered glass and their latest 303 Mid-Tower which is here with us today is the latest addition in their growing line.

Leaving out the left side panel which is made almost entirely out of tempered glass (3mm thick) the 303 is made out of SECC steel so at slightly over 10Kg (10.88Kg) it weighs roughly 2Kg more compared to its slightly smaller brother the 805 which was made out of aluminum (again minus the tampered glass parts). Aside using a push-to-release side panel made almost entirely out of tempered (tinted) glass and a nice illumined logo at the front (the I/O is also illuminated) IN WIN has also given the 303 mid-tower enough room for E-ATX/ATX/Mini-ITX and Micro-ATX mainboards, 6 drives (2x2.5"/2x3.5"), 7 fans (and/or 3 radiators), 160mm tall CPU coolers, 350mm long graphics cards, and 200mm long power supply units. It may not have the same interior space as the larger 805 but the 303 does look promising so let's take a closer look.

Intel SSD 600P Solid State Drive Review: NVMe Performance, SATA Pricing

A couple of weeks back, Intel announced a slew of new solid state drives, targeting a wide array of market segments, that leverage 3D TLC NAND. One of those offerings was a new series of M.2 NVMe drives, dubbed the SSD 600P.

According to Intel, the SSD 600P series is “designed to deliver PCIe performance at near-SATA prices”. To date, most NVMe PCIe solid state drives are roughly 1.5 – 3x the cost per gigabyte of SATA based drives, due to the inherent performance benefits and likely the added cost of NVMe controllers. But, as the company has done a number of times in the past dating all the way back to the venerable X25, Intel is pushing hard to drive down prices in the segment. In fact, the 512GB Intel SSD 600P we’ll be showing you here today is already available at street prices below $.40 per gigabyte...
