DreamWare Computers posted a review on the Silverstone FT03-MINI ITX Case + ST45SF PSU
When I look back at a lot of my reviews over the last nine years one thing becomes very evident; although computer parts went through a phase of getting incredibly large for a while, many components are now progressing smaller and smaller again as newer technologies allow us to create higher powered components at a fraction of the size.Silverstone FT03-MINI ITX Case + ST45SF PSU Review
When I built my most recent home office system I chose to go with a Micro ATX motherboard because I didn't need all the expansion abilities of a full size ATX board. It also allowed me to use a much smaller mATX sized case too. More recently I had the opportunity to upgrade this system to an ITX size board (significantly smaller than even mATX) so I went for it. Other than the absence of any expansion slots beyond the PCIe x16 slot for my graphics card, the smaller ITX board was actually a significant upgrade over my previous mATX board. It was packed with features and is actually one of the most feature packed boards I've owned; I really have no need to add expansion cards to it because the board already does anything I could ever need from this system.
Now came the time to downsize my case to take advantage of this smaller system. There's a decent selection of ITX cases on the market thanks in part to the growing popularity of this small form factor. To kick off some upcoming ITX case reviews I'll be starting by looking at the Silverstone FT03-MINI along with Silverstone's ST45SF SFX power supply. You might recognize the FT03-MINI because it's merely a shunken version of the FT03 which I've reviewed in the past.
