The Solarism 15 LCD monitor came in with an extremely low 13ms/27ms pixel refresh rate, a rate which even the big monitor makers like Viewsonic and Sony had failed to accomplish with their LCD monitors. As pixel refresh rate (how much time it takes for the pixel color to shift to another) is one of the determining factors on how well an LCD monitor will perform in games, the Solarism LCD turned out to be an excellent screen for gamers. High-speed games no longer suffered from the long-running ghosting problem, which had plagued LCD monitors for years. Its Advanced Brightness Technology also solved another major problem with LCD's, dull and low-contrast screens. The LM-1503 was amazingly bright, in fact so much, that we had to turn down the brightness level. Most monitors at the time of release had LCD's on the market that wouldn't get bright enough, no matter how high you cranked the settings.Read more
