While not exactly guided by Intel and not held within the forum proper, NVIDIA held a second introduction of their GeForce3 at IDF. Surprisingly, the GeForce3 was first introduced at Macworld Expo Tokyo in Steve Job´s keynote, with John Carmack showing off an early version of Doom 3 on stage and endorsing the GeForce3. With a whopping 57 million transistors (more than the Pentium 4), 76 GFLOPS of processing power, a 200MHz clock speed, and 7.3GBps of memory bandwidth, the GeForce3 is 3D monster looking to gobble up games.
