ASRock Radeon RX 5700 XT Taichi X OC+ Graphics Card Review

ASRock broke into the graphics card market with their Phanton Gaming line of AMD-based graphics cards a little over a year ago. With AMD’s Radeon RX 5700 series ASRock wanted to expand their line and become more of a major player in the market. Earlier this year we got a glimpse of what they were working on at Computex where they showed off some prototype cards. One of those cards was a “Taichi” card. We’ve reviewed many of ASRock’s “Taichi” motherboards over the years and they have provided not only great performance, but value as well. Plus their design is very unique and rather interesting. So when we heard they were coming out with a “Taichi” graphics card we were definitely excited. The ASRock Radeon RX 5700 XT Taichi X OC+ graphics card is definitely one of the best-looking RX 5700 XT’s that we’ve seen with its triple-fan cooling solution and sexy full-cover backplate. ASRock has not skimped on value either, the card offers four DisplayPort connections as well as two HDMI. When it comes to performance this card is factory overclocked with a base clock of 1810 MHz and a boost clock up to 2025 MHz. Is this the best RX 5700 XT yet? Read on to find out!

GIGABYTE teases Threadripper TRX40 AORUS motherboard

The first AORUS TRX40 motherboard is here. Is this the first consumer motherboard to support 64-cores? The picture shows yet undisclosed AMD HEDT motherboard. The branding does seem to indicate that we are looking at a premium AORUS motherboard. The socket, which looks identical to Threadripper 2000's TR4, is likely to be the new TR4+ or TR+ socket. The discussion on backward compatibility has not yet materialized in any substantial proof that it might work.

HyperX FURY RGB 16GB DDR4-3200 Memory Kit Review

Recently, HyperX unrevealed the FURY RGB memory series, so we had to take a closer look at this memory kit. In this review, we will present you with the FURY RGB 16GB DDR4-3200 memory kit, which seems like an excellent option for gamers.

We’ve been reviewing multiple FURY series memory kits in the past, but this is the first time you’ll find RGB lighting on the FURY series. The memory is already widely available, so I’m sure that many gamers are interested in how it works as it can be their next potential upgrade.

Microsoft Surface Laptop 3 (15-Inch) Review

This year at Microsoft’s somewhat annual Surface update event, Microsoft surprised everyone by not only announcing a newer and larger Surface Laptop 3, bumping the screen size from 13.5-inches to 15-inches, but also by selecting an AMD processor for the laptop. Though still an incremental shift when looking at the entire Surface lineup, it was a big change for Microsoft, as well as a big win for AMD. Not only is Microsoft now offering a traditional, clamshell laptop in the ever-popular 15-inch form factor, but its the highest profile laptop yet to ship with one of AMDs APUs.

Red Dead Redemption 2 PC Vs Console Comparison Video

The PC release of Red Dead Redemption 2 is quickly closing in on us. We all knew it was coming, but damn, that announcement came out of nowhere. Honestly, I didn’t expect to see it released this year! The trailer is certainly amazing, and you can check that out below. Even better, it’s in 4K 60FPS if you’ve got the monitor to enjoy that.

Surface Laptop 3 Review

The Surface Laptop 2 was one of my favorite laptops last year, notwithstanding some reviewers suggesting it didn't make sense for Microsoft to release it. After all, it's just a typical Ultrabook. My contention was the excellent 3:2 display, typing and trackpad experience, sublime audio, and overall design were an engineering marvel that delivered on core features.

For 2019, Microsoft made a bigger 15-inch version of the Surface Laptop. Surface Laptop 3 should be the pinnacle of what I want in an Ultrabook. With a larger screen, more room to work, longer battery life, and the potential for Microsoft's new partner, AMD, to show the world how it can beat Intel, how could it go wrong? Unfortunately, my hopes have been somewhat dashed.

Surface Pro 7 Review

Last year, I reviewed the Surface Pro 6 and concluded that "an already exceptional 2-in-1 gets even better." That is the same story this year for the Surface Pro 7, and while that may sound monotonous, it reinforces just how crucial and intriguing the Surface Pro is after seven generations.

Now, with the latest iteration going on sale October 22, 2019, the Surface Pro 7 has become one of my favorite PCs despite all the great choices on the market. The new Intel 10th-Gen processor, Iris Plus graphics, and Intel Wi-Fi 6 go a long way. Oh, there's also that nifty USB Type-C universal port.
