When you look into a computer, you see a motherboard, CPU, video card etc., but while your listing the components off in your head, how often do you even consider the heatsink installed? Granted many people do have fancy copper heatsinks or even watercooling, but nowadays with so many high performance cooling units, who really cares if it?s just a big 600 gram copper heatsink. I've even seen some water cooling units that look absolutely atrocious. New age pc modders want something that turns heads! (While still performing to the strict standards set by companies like Thermalright, Alpha, and Swiftech) Well today we will be looking at a heatsink from a company that has been around for a while, but in my opinion has never gotten the recognition they deserved. The heatsink's name you ask? The Swiftech MCX478-V. As you will see in the next couple pages, this heatsink is one of the most ?hip? and ?stylish? heatsinks I have seen in a good while. Sure there are other s being released with fancy heat pipes and leds, Coolermaster now even has a turbine style fan on their newest heatsink. I will caution you, this heatsink tops them in many respects, the design is truly revolutionary and may even scare you a little, but by the end of this review you will likely be as impressed as I was.
