ASUS TUF Gaming M5 Review

There is a huge list of big gaming mice out there, and a much smaller one for small ones—the ASUS TUF Gaming M5 tries to improve this ratio. It might be small in size, but it's not cheaply made by a long shot. It features a great optical sensor, main switches rated for 50 million clicks, and Aura Sync RGB lighting.

ASUS is definitely one of the most respected hardware manufacturers around the world, and they are not new to the peripherals market either. They have a few different lines of gaming-related products, and the TUF (The Ultimate Force) is their latest one. This hardware subfamily only has one mouse thus far, and it is called the TUF Gaming M5. It's a small, ambidextrous-style mouse with very promising specifications and a decent price tag, which makes the M5 a rare bird indeed as most gaming mouse manufacturers tend to use low-quality materials for their smaller products for some reason. The M5 has main button switches rated for 50 million clicks, a PixArt PAW3327 optical sensor (with a maximum resolution of 6,200 CPI), and, of course, ASUS Aura Sync RGB lighting.

Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-OMEGA RGB Mid-Tower Tempered Glass Gaming Case Review

Well, Corsair has done it again and the SPEC-OMEGA RGB has what it takes.It has style, space, and when combined with Corsair's iCUE software, youhave an amazing system. The RGB lighting is a selling point for me, as Ihave always been a fan of LED lighting. Back in the day, you only got a single color, and even then you were initially limited to the standard red or blue. Eventually, other colors came out and I am only talking about fans. Today motherboards, RAM, keyboards, cases, coolers, mice, and even mouse pads are part of the RGB family. Some may argue that the market is saturated with RGB, and maybe so. However, I still like it.

Formbox by Mayku Review

A small vacuum former targeted at the printing entrepreneur. I'm always on the lookout for accessories and devices that compliment my 3D printing and how those devices can benefit you, the reader. The Formbox by Mayku completes any workshop or homemaker space by supplying another avenue to use your 3D prints, in this case by creating vacuum formed molds.

This Formbox was loaned to us for the purposes of the review by Mayku, and I've been using it for almost a month. The model was a retail box so everything reviewed here comes as standard.

Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Graphics Card Review

The Nvidia RTX launch has landed with a bang, delivering some of the most incredible gaming performance we’ve ever seen. Of course, the 2080 Ti doesn’t come cheap, but when it comes to throwing out massive FPS figures in the latest games, even at high resolution, it’s the top dog. The new Gigabyte Gaming OC is one of the more basic models of their range. I mean that with no offence to Gigabyte, of course. However, keep in mind their more “gamer” focused models fall under the AORUS branding or their G1 Gaming ranges, etc. With that in mind, this model does cost a little less than its rivals, albeit it is still a £1000+ bit of kit; cheapest of a rich man’s game if you will.

Jabra Elite Active 65t True Wireless Earbuds Review

Working out while listening to music has always been a serious issue for many people (myself included) especially for those who also like to run large distances and although stability may be the most crucial factor audio quality and resistance to sweat are two things many have been looking for. I realize that many people don't think that sweat is sufficient to render any headset inoperable (must have had that discussion with friends over a dozen times) but over the years I’ve had several models fail because of that (including some far from what anyone would call affordable) so my experience says otherwise. Unfortunately there aren't that many sweat/water resistant wireless headsets out in the market that also feature good audio quality and stability so the Elite Sport by Jabra have been the best solution to date for me ever since i first got my hands on them in August of last year. This may however change since today's review is about the latest Elite Active 65t True Wireless Earbuds again by Jabra.

MSI GeForce RTX 2080 Gaming X Trio Review

Today we're taking a close look at the MSI GeForce RTX 2080 Gaming X Trio, featuring a 1860MHz/1515 MHz base/boost factory overclock which puts it slightly ahead of NVIDIA's Founder's Edition card out of the box. MSI's offering also comes with all the Gaming X productline fixings like the new Tri-Frozr VIII triple-fan (and triple-slot) cooling, a VirtualLink connector for use with next-gen virtual reality headsets, and of course RGB LED lighting.

The MSI GeForce RTX 2080 Gaming X Trio is built around a multi-layer custom PCB, paired with a beefed up power delivery and high quality components. This should – on paper at least - translate into top-of-the-line performance.

QNAP TS-431XeU-8G 4-bay Rackmount NAS Review

QNAP’s TS-431XeU 1U rackmount NAS sits in the companies SMB product line and has been designed with smaller racks in mind as it has a much shorter depth than standard. It comes with four drive bays, quad-core CPU power and an integrated 10GbE SFP+ port.

With its 291mm depth, QNAP has designed the 4-bay TS-431XeU with the smaller or space constrained office in mind, where a full size rack isn’t an option but a smaller unit can be accommodated. Apart from its shallower than standard depth, the other major feature of the NAS is the integrated 10GbE port, but this isn’t a standard RJ45 10GbE port but rather a SFP+ one.

Terra Master F4-220 4 bay NAS Review

Today, we have Terra Master's F4-220 4 bay NAS solution in for review. Terra Master is a company that specializes in network storage solutions, ranging all the way from simple 2 bay products all the way to products nearing the $10k USD range, namely their 16 bay enterprise-grade storage arrays. For the home user, however, this unit is coming in at a MSRP of $500 (499 to be exact). There is a slightly higher unit in the F4-420, offering double the memory (4GB vs. 2GB) and a quad-core 2.0Ghz Intel Celeron CPU vs. the dual-core housed in the unit in front of me.

There is, here, a fairly major disclaimer. Whereas TerraMaster's site has the unit listed for 500 USD/GBP, the unit can in fact be found on Amazon US for significantly less, at around $289.99. This, as you will see later, makes a lot more sense when you consider the hardware specifications on offer vs something at the higher end of the scale. In addition, the unit is available on Amazon UK for £299.99 and Amazon DE for 319.99. I am unsure as to why there is such a price differential. I suspect either Terra Master's site hasn't been updated since the product's 2017 launch, or it's just Amazon taking some small liberties.

Turtle Beach Ear Force Recon 200 Amplified Headset Review

Turtle Beach is easily one of the most recognisable brands in the gaming peripheral market. Over the years, they’ve built up one of the largest catalogues of PC and console headsets Furthermore, their history now spans decades of gaming and a couple of generations of gamers growing up with their brand. I’m sure I’m not the only one here who has owned at least one of their headsets over the years. While I am personally a big fan and also a user of their premium headsets, such as the Elite Pro, not everyone has £250 to spend on a new gaming headset.

Louder is Better
The Recon series has long been one of my favourites, especially when it comes to products I review, but also personally. They’re far from the most expensive in the Turtle Beach range, but they’re easily some of the most versatile and exciting products Turtle Beach produces. As Turtle Beach themselves say “Louder is Better!” and that’s exactly what the Recon 200 offers. This headset comes with a built-in battery, which allows it to power it’s built-in amplifier, as well as deliver support for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Pro, Nintendo Switch, and Mobile devices. Oh, and even PC, because everything works with PC.

Ultimate Ears MegaBoom 3 Review

Ultimate Ears MegaBoom 3 is the latest incarnation of arguably one of the best and most popular portable Bluetooth speakers. The newly updated models finally have a design refresh, albeit a small one, as well as better sounding audio quality.

In their typical fashion, the Ultimate Ears MegaBoom is a tall cylinder, reaching nearly nine inches in height, just about an inch and a half more than the standard Ultimate Ears Boom.
