Although Part I of this series discussed the movement on both AMD and Intel’s part towards dual channel memory solutions, there’s actually a small piece missing from the puzzle. There was one company still focusing on single-channel solutions and promising it could deliver equally competitive products at lower price-points. Had VIA failed to deliver, it’d be nothing but another promise made by another company that sounded good and failed to materialize.
