The Ultimate CPU Round-up: Summer 2010
InsideHW.com has compared all CPUs available at the moment
Do you remember the times when CPUs were chosen based on whether you were assembling a gaming PC, in which case you'd opt for cheaper Celerons and Durons, or a heavy workload PC, in which case you'd buy the more expensive Pentiums and Athlons? It came to our mind on multiple occasions during this test. Those days of single-core CPUs, when Megahertz were the only relevant thing, and the difference between home and professional models consisted in the difference in the quantity of cache memory, only served to underline the problems that modern-day users are facing when assembling a new PC…Read more

We test and review the eVGA Classified SR-2 motherboard. The SR-2 is a dual-socket Intel 5520 chipset based server motherboard dressed up for hardware enthusiasts and pro-overclockers. We'll smack two six-core Xeon X5680 processors on there, four GeForce GTX 480 cards, we'll cool them all with Liquid Nitrogen, overclock it... and see if we can break some records.Read more
We'll first cover a technical overview of the board and then we'll test a setup in three stages:
Air cooling
Liquid cooling
Liquid Nitrogen
In the end the processors are going to be cooled with liquid nitrogen, and for the sake of it we will pop in four GeForce GTX 480 graphics cards as well, these will also be cooled with liquid nitrogen. That's six Liquid Nitrogen pots on one motherboard... consuming 40 to 50 liters of liquid nitrogen with each hour of testing.
Cooler Master HAF 912 Case Review
OCIA.net has posted their review of the Cooler Master HAF 912 Case
Two years ago Cooler Master introduced a new full tower case called the HAF 932. The HAF combined rugged, industrial style looks with many of the same amenities as some of their high end cases like the Cosmos, but without the matching high price tag. The HAF became so popular that it spawned a whole new series, with later additions coming in a variety of sizes and colors. Today Cooler Master introduces the latest entry to the HAF lineup with their smallest model yet, the mid-tower HAF 912. Bearing a striking resemblance to the 922, the 912 is only marginally narrower and shorter in dimension, however it deviates from previous HAF models in other ways.Read more
Turtle Beach Ear Force DSS Review
OCC has published a review on the Turtle Beach Ear Force DSS
I can't really recommend these for their purpose of simulated 5.1 or 7.1 audio, but enhancements to stereo listening plus USB power and Bass control still make it a useful device. You'll definitely get better results from your stereo headphones for stereo listening, but don't expect any magic from surround sound in games and movies. Though it still has some great features, the surround performance keeps it from being worth the $90 price tag.Read more

It offers an abundance of fins and copper, a lot of room for airflow, and a surprisingly easy installation process.Read more
Cooler Master HAF 912 Computer Case Review
Benchmark Reviews has released a new article on the Cooler Master HAF 912 Computer Case
One of the great things about a free market are the options. In today's computer market there are options between brands and even within brands. Cooler Master's High Air Flow (HAF) series is one example of products designed to fit a range of different needs. The launch of the HAF 912 helps fill out the offerings from the HAF series of feature rich computer cases. The HAF 912 is a mid-tower offering to satisfy both the fanatic and the frugal. In this article Benchmark Reviews compares model RC-912-KKN1 with the rest of the HAF lineup to see how the 912 compares to it's older brothers. As a budget case it will certainly try to offer as many features as possible, but ultimately it costs less because some sacrifices must be made compared to the top of the line products. Read on to see how the HAF 912 approaches the often precarious balance between performance and cost.Read more

Housing an Intel Atom 330 CPU already onboard, and coupled with Nvidia ION chipset, the ASUS AT3IONT-I Deluxe comes with a few other bells and whistles that looks awfully tempting for an HTPC setup. Let's take a look at this integrated motherboard, graphics, and power supply solution from ASUS that strives to offer users a fuller and more affordable multimedia experience.Read more
Cooler Master HAF 912 Plus Review
Vortez.co.uk posted a review on the Cooler Master HAF 912 Plus
Regardless of whether you love or hate the HAF series, since its first introduction in 2008 its remained a dominating force within the enthusiast/gaming market. First we had the 932 a full tower chassis, followed by the smaller 922, and just recently the X the big brother of the bunch. Today we see a new addition to the family, the HAF 912 Plus.Read more
The 912 Plus is set to be the smallest of the series, but with High Air Flow (HAF) still a principal objective. The current cases within the HAF series are rather large enclosures so Cooler Master hope to equip those wanting a smaller setup, but with the same benefits of the HAF lineup. Excellent cooling, brilliant functionality and rugged military looks.
