Extensive Mods takes a look at the Thermaltake Muse 3.5 external hard drive enclosure

External hard drive enclosure... Well, what comes to mind? Yeah, I am betting that you came up with the same conclusion as me, laptops and portable mass storage. After purchasing a laptop, there is not really too much that can be done in the area of expandability, with the exception of ram of course. For you guys and girls out there who work in the IT field, I am pretty sure that quite a few of you work on multiple computers throughout the day, and if there is no network present between them, it is often time consuming to transfer files. Well, it is for these purposes, and many more, that external hard drive enclosures were developed. They can provide massive amounts of portable storage using a regular IDE hard drive. Thermaltake has been kind enough to send me their Muse 3.5 enclosure for review. This unit promises to be fast, reliable, and stylish, so let’s get on with the review and see if it sinks or swims.
