Are you ready for a $100 Windows 8.1 tablet? If you are, then the Computex trade show in Taipei, Taiwan is the place to be as a Chinese company called Emdoor is showing off the 8-inch EM-i8080 at the event

From WPCentral:
The tablet has a 1280 x 800 IPS display, and inside there is an Intel "Bay Trail" Atom Z3735G processor. It also has 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of SSD storage, along with a microSD slot for expansion. The tablet has ports for MicroUSB and Mini HDMI, along with what is described as an entry-level camera and stereo speakers. It is supposed to have a 18.5 Wh battery, but there's no word yet on how long its charge will last in the tablet.

It's safe to say that this $100 tablet is not going to offer owners a ton of hardware performance. However, it is an example of the types of low cost Windows 8.1 products we could see in the future, thanks to Microsoft's offering the cheaper Windows 8.1 with Bing to OEM makers.
This Windows 8.1 tablet costs only $100
