Conrexx Europe was founded in that same year as a European headquarters and place of business for Ritek, and I think it's fair to say that Traxdata has undergone a real metamorphosis since the take over by Ritek. Under the new devision's marketing strategy, every new optical storage technology breakthrough will first be marketed under the Traxdata name. Thus Traxdata was the first to market the 8x media (+ and – media), and also the first to market both the 16x DVD+R media and the DVD+R DL media.
