Approximately two years ago, in 2003, the memory market had gone through a mini-revolution with the arrival of DDR memory modules based on Winbond's BH-5 chips. These memories were able to operate at very high speeds and low timings, which was practically impossible up until then. The only disadvantage of these memory modules was that in order to reach high speeds and low timings, they required very high voltages.TwinMOS Speed Premium PC3500 Review
At some point during that same year, Winbond decided to drop the production of the BH-5 chips, and they disappeared from the market after only a few months in which they gained extreme popularity among overclockers all around the world.
