VIA Hardware has posted a review on Tyan's new Dual-Athlon solution - the Tiger MPX.



Recently Tyan has released a new board which they call the Tiger MPX. Based on the AMD MPX chipset, it's easy to see where it got it's name. The MPX chipset consists of an AMD-762 Northbridge and an AMD-768 Southbridge. So how will this new board perform? Many of you already know that there is an issue with the AMD-768 Southbridge that causes the onboard USB not to function - a problem being fixed by AMD. Currently, motherboard manufacturers are shipping the board anyway - sending along a PCI USB card for you to install. Tyan is one of several manufacturers to ship a MPX board. Asus and MSI have shipped boards as well, and I have heard that Abit and Iwill may be getting in on the action soon as well, but that remains to be seen. Today we are going to look at the Tiger MPX and see how it performs.
