VIA Hardware has posted a review on Tyan's new Dual-Athlon solution - the Tiger MPX.
Recently Tyan has released a new board which they call the Tiger MPX. Based on the AMD MPX chipset, it's easy to see where it got it's name. The MPX chipset consists of an AMD-762 Northbridge and an AMD-768 Southbridge. So how will this new board perform? Many of you already know that there is an issue with the AMD-768 Southbridge that causes the onboard USB not to function - a problem being fixed by AMD. Currently, motherboard manufacturers are shipping the board anyway - sending along a PCI USB card for you to install. Tyan is one of several manufacturers to ship a MPX board. Asus and MSI have shipped boards as well, and I have heard that Abit and Iwill may be getting in on the action soon as well, but that remains to be seen.
