Gigabyte X99-UD4P Review

When it comes time for us to upgrade our computer, one of the first things we need to ask ourselves is what are we going to be using our computer for? Am I going to be playing games, uploading videos to my favorite video-sharing website, using it as an office computer, or doing a little bit of everything? These days we can build our computers around a very specific job type or task it will be performing. But no matter what we are going to use our computer for, it will have to be fast enough to do our tasks effortlessly.

One of the main components that every computer is required to have is the motherboard. A motherboard acts a main platform on which our other peripherals get plugged into. That includes everything from CPUs to video cards and everything in between. The motherboard needs to have the capabilities of being expanded upon, handle some of the most up-to-date hardware, and not act as a hindrance to our growing computing needs. We over here at Bjorn3D are going to be looking at one of many different offerings of computer motherboards. The motherboard we are going to be looking at more closely is Gigabyte’s Ultra Durable X99-UD4P.

LIFEGUARD 2.1A Dual USB Car Charger Review

Today I’ve got a quick review for you today of a product that I think is very useful, it’s a dual USB port charger from a company called +Lifeguard. The charger features two USB ports, one is a fast charger and the second on is a standard USB port. The charger is small and well made and it has a nice blue LED in it so you can find the ports in the dark in your car. Read on to learn more…

Thermalright TRUE Spirit 140 BW Rev.A CPU Cooler Review

Up and until a few years ago most CPU cooler manufacturers didn't pay much attention to all the consumers around the world who asked for new heatsink designs that wouldn't interfere with tall memory modules and mainboard components. Now i don't really blame the people who designed those CPU coolers since back then size was what would sell to gamers and overclockers alike and if you happen to recall the huge V10 by CoolerMaster (or even the V8) then you know what i mean. Well the arrival of the AIO liquid CPU coolers changed all that since they offered zero clearance issues without asking nearly as much as custom water cooling kits. This "forced" manufacturers to take a new approach towards CPU coolers so in the past 2 years we've seen many models claim to offer zero clearance issues with your memory modules and mainboard components (and most actually deliver what they promise). The TRUE Spirit 140 BW Rev.A is the latest CPU cooler by Thermalright to feature a "slim" heatsink to allow use of even the tallest memory modules and today we're taking it for a ride.

VKWorld VK2015 Smartphone Review

Based on the older MT6582 quad-core SoC from MediaTek, the VK2015 low-cost smartphone is snappy enough for being used with the latest social applications like Facebook, Skype but also for playing simple games as Angry Birds. The chassis has rounded edges and a rubberized plastic back cover, it is easy to hold and be used with a single hand because of the smaller footprint and does not creak when pressed in certain areas. Thanks to the dual-SIM feature, we are offered more flexibility if we use two different service providers.

Windows 10: 5 things I like

I'm fairly critical when it comes to new software versions regardless of whether it is an update to a web browser I use (Firefox) or the underlying operating system (Windows 10).

Part of that comes from me using a program or system for a long period of time in specific ways that often get torpedoed by updates.

Windows 8 was no exception to the rule and while Microsoft seems to have changed its course in regards to development in Windows 10, it is offering an experience that is often completely different to what you may have used before.
